What is Ausbildung ?

Ausbildung is a German word which means vocational training or apprenticeship. It is a vocational training program that combines theoretical education with practical work experience. It is a dual system of education and training that combines both theoretical and practical learning. The program is available to Germans and non-Germans, typically lasting between two to three and a half years.

Ausbildung Structure

The ausbildung training is divided into two parts

  • 1. Training classes in vocational training school, also known as Berufsschule.
  • 2. Work or Practical training by German employer/company where you’ll be in a work placement as an apprentice.

For example, suppose you are in an Ausbildung in a hospital In that case, you must work for some days in any assigned department of hospital to gain practical experience and the remaining days in the training institution.

12 th class pass with 60% marks in any stream

B2 Level ( High Recommended )

17-25 years ( up to 25 years can be considered if applicant have relevant experience )

Nursing Ausbildung

Nursing is a healthcare profession that focuses on the care of individuals and their families to help them recover from illness and maintain optimal health and quality of life.   • Duration – 3 year to 4 year
  • Theory classes at vocational school
  • On-the-job training at hospital or other healthcare facility.
  • Nursing ausbildung salary- €8.50 per hour for the first year of the apprenticeship, €8.70 for the second year, and €8.90 for the third year. (These are the minimum wages. The wages are more high in big cities.)

Upon successful completion of the nursing Ausbildung, you will be qualified to work as a registered nurse in Germany. This means you will have a wide range of career options available, including working in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, and other healthcare settings.

FSJ is the abbreviation of Freiwilliges Soziales Jahr which means Voluntary Social Year. It allows young people to work in the social sector, educational institutions, and healthcare facilities.

  • FSJ fields- Hospitals , Retirement homes, Children homes, personal assistance for people in need of care, Youth welfare services, Church communities… etc
  • Duration- - 6 months to 18 months
  • Hours of work-About 40 hours per week
  • Salary-€300 to €800 per month

Eligibility Criteria
